FOX Corporation | Ad Sales Internship | Summer 2026
THE OPPORTUNITY
Build a creator roster that feels native to college football and reaches fans beyond traditional sports talent.
MY ROLE
Assigned inside FOX's national ad sales office as a working look at how talent recommendations actually get built. I ran the research, set the evaluation criteria, and made the recommendations.
WHAT I LOOKED FOR
Camera-ready personality. Real football credibility. Audience size across platforms. A balanced mix of backgrounds, genders and follower scale. Brand readiness, including no ties to competitor networks. And whether the creator's format could actually repeat week to week.
THE THINKING
Follower count was the easiest thing to measure and the least useful thing to decide on. So instead of ranking a list top to bottom, I sorted candidates by the job each one would do: best overall fit, biggest reach and personality, best repeatable format, already inside the FOX ecosystem, and broadcast-ready host. The recommendation then answered which of these do we need, rather than who is biggest.
CONTENT POSSIBILITIES
Every recommendation carried a format it could sustain: a campus interview series, a sports-comedy franchise, a postgame reaction slot, a sideline-to-studio pairing. Casting and content became one decision instead of two, which is also what makes a package sellable rather than just interesting.
THE RECOMMENDATION
A top five chosen for five different reasons, plus three supporting names for depth, each with the format it would anchor.
WHAT I TOOK FROM IT
This project made me think differently about talent. The biggest following wasn't automatically the best choice. The creator also had to make sense for FOX, feel credible around college football, and have a format that could actually become repeatable content. I liked that there was both a creative and a business side to the decision.
A NOTE ON THIS WORK
This was an internal exercise built in FOX's client template. The deck itself, the talent names and the individual assessments stay private, since several of the creators were never approached. Happy to talk through the detail in conversation.
