The Wellness Society, Syracuse University | VP of Programming, now VP of Outreach | 2026
THE BRIEF
A chapter that launched in January 2026 with no members and no calendar needed events people would actually show up to, on a student budget, in a market already crowded with campus programming.
THE PLAN
Five original events built around wellness, connection and community: a vintage-tennis content day on the campus courts, a vision board experience, a Pilates collaboration with Delta Kappa Epsilon, yoga with puppies, and a matcha partnership with Kelsey's Coffee and Friends.
THE PARTNERSHIP LOGIC
Every concept names what we provide, what the partner provides, where the audiences overlap, expected turnout, how it gets promoted, what it costs, and why it is worth it for both sides. That last part is the whole job. A partner says yes when you can tell them what they get, not when you tell them what you need.
THE RESULT
20 to 50 attendees per event. Three brand and business partnerships secured. The chapter has grown from zero to 130 members and 1,700 social followers since launching in January 2026.
WHAT I TOOK FROM IT
A partnership only works if you can say out loud what the other side gets. Once that is clear, the ask stops feeling like a favour and starts sounding like a deal.
